About the Camp
Northern Michigan FurCamp is a locally-run camping mini-con, promoting the protection of the natural world. We strive to create a positive, accepting, and freeing space where furries can kick up their paws and relax. We hope our attendees can socialize, tell stories around the campfire, swim, play games, geek out, and most importantly, have a good time. Our mission is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our group to congregate, make friends, have fun, and learn about the ecosystem and its inhabitants. All extra funds get donated to a wildlife charity of our choice: the Skegemog Raptor Center! See the charity page under the information tab for more info.
Site Ammenities
By attending, you get access to ALL amenities listed below! We have a whole summer camp rented to ourselves. This includes private buildings, pavillions, recreation, and more.
A Place to Stay
This can be in the form of a cabin or a tent site! Cabin and tent spaces are limited. Once space fills up, registration will close.
Private-Owned Property
We have a whole summer camp rented out just for our event! We do not share the space with anyone else.
Private Swimming Area
Northern Michigan FurCamp is lakeside! This is a small, clean, freshwater lake- and it's warm! Expect water temps in the 70s.
Recreational Courts
Various ball courts are provided. There is basketball, tennis, and gaga ball. Balls will be provided but you may bring your own as well.
Canoe and Kayak Launch
Feel free to bring any kayaks, canoes, rafts, paddleboats, or similar! We can not provide watercrafts, but you can bring yours.
Fishing, Hiking, and More!
As long as you have a valid Michigan fishing license, you are free to go! There are also hiking and recreation trails in the area.
*Meow* Food! *Meow*
Food will not be provided so please make sure to bring food for the weekend! We don't want any more cat furries yelling at us for food. They just ate five minutes ago!

Please bring a cooler to store all cold foods in. At night, make sure all food is put away either in the cabins, tents, or cars. We don't want any critter mishaps (like that raccoon that ate a whole stick of butter and stole a loaf of bread back in 2023).

All food will be cooked over fires, just like in previous years! You are free to bring whatever tools you would like to aid in cooking. There are several campfire rings distributed around the property. Gas stoves are allowed.
