Kindling enthusiasm for local wildlife

I think everyone can agree that to be a furry you must have an interest in anthropomorphic animals. I believe NMFC inspires furries to go a step further and go beyond internet/media subculture. NMFC allows us to look inward and reflect towards animals even in our local ecosystem.

"Touch grass," they said. Touch grass, I did.

Call me Emmy! I'm a zoology student at MSU. I have a great fascination with the way animals behave and how they interact with the ecosystem. Nature is a presence to respect and I hope by attending NMFC, we will all learn a bit more about the nature that surrounds us.

If you find an animal bone in the woods, come to me for identification! I know a bit too much about animal bones.

"Nature? I don't even know her!"

I'm Rott, a permanent learner, furry, and camp assistant. I've spent much of my childhood outdoors, and as such, find them one of the greatest assets that we currently have. I do occasional conservatory volunteering in the Grand Traverse region and am studying to become an ecological scientist to propagate native wildlife and fight the spread of invasives. I've got plenty of experience when it comes to outdoor comfort, safety, and animal/plant ID's- so please don't hesitate to ask me questions!

You don't have to look to listen

Greetings, I'm MadJam!

Plush hoarder extraordinaire and animal lover at heart!

I am an ambassador for the ESP (Emotional Support Plush) community, spreading the word on how plushies can help combat anxiety, depression, and more! In addition to collecting plushies, I LOVE using them to do nature photography. I have traveled around the state and far into the woods to find some of the most beautiful and untouched preservations, and I must say, there's nothing more peaceful than falling asleep deep in the woods to the sounds of nature. <3

Oh ya, I camp a lot too. So if ya need help with anything, my tent door is always open!

Sponsor Registration allows us to do more each year.

This year we will be offering a sponsor registration option! The general registration allows you to participate in the Northern Michigan Furcamp! This helps pay for our campsite.

For an extra fee, you can opt for a sponsor package that offers different merch every year! This allows us to create banners, stickers, pins, patches, clothing, towels, and more.  More importantly, this allows us to give more to our chosen charity and helps give back to our local wildlife.
