What does the abbreviation FCM stand for?FCM stands for FurCamp Michigan! Your may also see the name abbreviated to FurCampMI.

How big is the camping area?BIG! And when we say big, we mean it. You won't have to worry about the size of the campsite!

Are there any stores nearby?Sorry, but we are kind of in the middle of nowhere! There's a small general store 15 minutes away, but the nearest grocery store will be a 25-30 minute drive. It is best to stock up before arriving.

What amenities will the staff and the campground provide?Staff will be providing firewood, drinking water, cooking skewers, plates, eating utensils, napkins, wet wipes, cups, and trash/recycling bags. The amenities the campground will have is a bathroom, picnicking area, playground, amphitheater, potable water, and a beach.

What do I do when I arrive? Is there a registration area?There will be a check in area! It will be located just as you enter the campsite and will be under a canopy tent. Please visit there and complete your check in before you set up your tent.

Where can I pick up sponsor merch at the camp?There will be scheduled times where sponsors may pick up their merch. Please see the programming list for more details.

What do I get with registration?Registration gives you complete access to FurCamp Michigan, a con badge and lanyard, the campground, and it's amenities.

I can only stay for one day. Is that okay?Yes! Nobody is expected to stay for the entire duration of the camp. You have the option to stay one, two, or all three nights. There is also a day visitor option.

When does registration close?Registration will only close if we hit out 100 person limit. If this happens, we will open a waitlist.

Is there a certain time I should arrive and leave by?The earliest time attendees may arrive is Thursday at 2:30 pm. And all attendees must be gone by noon on Sunday. Otherwise, you are free to arrive or leave whenever you would like!

Do I have to register to attend? Even if I'm not staying the night?Yes, all attendees must be registered to attend. There are day passes for those who do not intend on staying overnight.

If multiple people are staying in one tent, does everybody have to register?YES! Registration is per person.

Where can I set up my tent?We have two campsites that you may pitch your tent in. You may choose either one, and you are free to go off into the woods a little bit as long as you don't venture too close to other people's campsites.

Can I bring a camper or an RV?Campers and RVs are not allowed. There are no dump stations, water fill stations, electricity hookups, or areas big enough to fit a camper or RV.

Are carts provided to haul items to cabins/tents?No, carts are not provided. If you would like one, please bring your own or coordinate with someone else to use theirs.

Is there a map of the camp?Yes, there is a map of the camp! Please see 'Location' under the 'Information' tab to view it. It is recommend to download the image so you can have it at all times.

Is food provided?No, food is not provided. However, we will be providing plates, bowls, eating utensils, cups, napkins, and wet wipes! Please bring a cooler to store all cold foods in. At night time, make sure all food is put away. ​ Food will be cooked over fires, just like in previous years! You are free to bring whatever tools you would like to aid in cooking. There are several campfire rings distributed around the property. Gas stoves are allowed.

Can I bring weed or alcohol?Any drugs that are legal to possess and consume in the state of Michigan are allowed on camp grounds, including weed and alcohol. We only ask that you have courtesy for the other guests. This means stepping away from the group before smoking, properly disposing of roaches (littering will not be tolerated), and knowing your limits.

What should I bring?There is a packing list under the 'Information' tab. You'll find a lot of important information there!

Are dogs allowed? If so, are there any restrictions?Yes, dogs are allowed! There are no breed or size restrictions. The only restriction is to keep your dog on a leash when outside your tent. Please take any appropriate measures.

Are weapons allowed?The short answer, no. Please look at 'Rules and Regulations' under 'Information' for more information.

Is there electricity?No, there is no electricity.

Are there quiet hours?Yes. They are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. The party doesn't have to stop, but please turn down all music and keep your voices down. If you would like to be louder, you may move to the beach or the amphitheater.

This camp is 18+. Does that mean it will be NSFW?No, FurCamp Michigan is a strictly Safe for Work furcamp. We ask that all attendees abide by this. No NSFW gear or parties will be tolerated. Pup hoods are allowed.

Is FurCamp Michigan nonprofit?We are a not-for-profit event. All of our remaining money gets donated to the Skegemog Raptor Sanctuary. You can learn more about this charity under the 'Information' tab!

If I have an issue while attending the camp, who do I go to?You may bring up your issue with a member of staff. Staff can be identified through their special bandana, which all staff will be wearing on some part of their body or clothing. If needed, we have a member of staff who doubles as the security for the event. If the issue occurs when staff are asleep, you may let us know when we are awake. If it is extremely urgent, you may alert us at our tents. For small cuts and scrapes, our staff will have a small medical kit, and we assume that some attendees will bring one as well. If you require medical attention, please call 911.

I want to host an event or panel! Where can I go to sign up?That's great! We are actively looking for people to host events, whether it be an informative panel, interactive panel, a game, or even a hike. If you click 'Programming' under 'Information,' you will see a button near the top of the screen. This button will lead you to the event submission form.
